Vendor Benefits
A Solid Relationship with Vendors
NBS vendors are a critical component to the success of the organization.
NBS vendors are not required to "join" NBS in the same manner of
our retail members. NBS vendors submit programs that are screened
by the NBS staff and committees for quality and integrity. Once
approved, vendors then market their merchandise to the NBS membership
via our markets.
Nation's Best Sports is the perfect example of a win/win situation
for everyone involved. Members and vendors alike benefit by association
with NBS.
Established, Reputable Organization - NBS is proud to have maintained
a solid relationship with vendors over the past 50 years. We are
well-known and well-respected around the world.
Credit Reliability - NBS enjoys excellent relations with all its
vendors, maintaining strict adherence to suppliers' policies regarding
payment terms, merchandising programs, etc.
Qualified, Informed Buyers - NBS is made up of prominent local,
regional and national retailers. Knowledgeable professionals, they
know from day-to-day experience what is and what isn't selling,
and they can share that valuable information with you.
Central Billing - Among payment options, NBS offers single invoicing,
paid promptly. This can mean less paperwork and more time devoted
to sales.
Special Offer Opportunities - Based on the committee-approved style
of negotiation, vendors find it very compelling to develop custom
offers for presentation at NBS markets. These offers, prescreened
by the committee prior to market, are enthusiastically received
in terms of substantial sales volume.
Exclusive Opportunities
Twice a year, NBS conducts major markets in Fort Worth, Texas. These
events are eagerly anticipated and highly attended. NBS markets
are tremendous opportunities for members and vendors to interact
one-on-one and obtain valuable information. In addition to these,
smaller specialty markets based on seasonal sports are held throughout
the year. These popular and extremely successful markets attract
large numbers of buyers and sellers because of their timeliness
to customers’ needs, and their product specific performance. NBS
also conducts specialty markets that are targeted toward specific
product categories. These markets constantly change in complexity
based on the changing needs of the membership. A typical market
schedule would be as follows:
| Market | Month | Main Categories Presented |
| Winter Specialty Market | January | Ski Softgoods and Ski Hardgoods |
| Spring Semi - Annual Market | February | Hunting, Archery, Camping, Athletics, Hunting and Athletic Apparel |
| Summer Athletic Market | July | Baseball, Fitness, Golf, General Athletics |
| Fall Semi - Annual Market | September | Fishing, Camping, Marine, Hunting |
| Fall Athletic Market | November | Institutional Team Equipment |
