Hurricane Harvey Relief Update on NBS Members

At Nation’s Best Sports, our Members are our family, and the reason our NBS staff exists and operates. It is with heartfelt sadness that we watch the catastrophic damage and flooding unfold along Southeast Texas and Louisiana coastlines, and the surrounding areas, including Houston and Corpus Christi. Several of our Members have family roots and business operations within the affected areas from Hurricane Harvey, and our thoughts and prayers are with them as they work through one of the most expansive natural disasters our country has ever seen.

We have checked in with every Member that we were able to get in contact with. As you might imagine, communications are spotty when events like this unfold. Everyone seems to be in good health and are safe, but they are far from unscathed. Most businesses/stores in these areas either ARE or WERE closed, either due to the flooding or to infrastructure problems in their area. Many members have employees who have lost homes and vehicles in the past week, and several are not even able to assess their losses yet due to an inability to access their stores and homes for safety concerns. Their collective spirit inspires us, yet their path ahead will be challenging and they will need our support, especially spiritually and emotionally.

A partial list of affected Members is listed here. We apologize in advance if we don’t name someone by name, as the reaches of this storm are broader than just the flooded areas.

Marburgers, Seabrook TX

Carter’s Country, Spring, TX (multiple locations)

Retail Concepts, Houston, TX (multiple locations)

Rockport Tackle, Rockport, TX

We also have numerous other Members in these areas that may be dealing with some business hardships or interruptions, so please keep them in your thoughts.

The Nation’s Best Sports team is researching alternatives and options for aid/relief/support to these members. Once we have found a suitable avenue will we be sure to communicate to all in coming days. Please keep our family members in your prayers and thoughts for the difficult days, weeks and months ahead. We want all of our members to not only bounce back, but to do so stronger than ever.
